How do I update SnVirtualSpawners?
Download the newer version from https://sndevelopment.dev/plugins/snvirtualspawners and replace the jar. Configs auto-merge on restart.
Does it support Folia?
No, SnVirtualSpawners is not Folia-compatible. It runs on Paper.
Which Paper versions does it support?
One jar covers Paper 1.20.4, every later 1.20.x, every 1.21.x and 26.x.
Do these spawners spawn mobs?
No. Every spawn attempt of a tracked spawner is cancelled. The spawner only produces stored items and XP.
Do spawners generate while nobody is near?
No. A spawner only generates while a player stands within generation.activation-radius blocks. Missed cycles are not accumulated.
Why can't I break a spawner?
A spawner that holds items with no price cannot be broken: take them out of the storage first. Under SELL_ONLY those items cannot be taken out, so lift the restriction first with /vspawner admin restrict remove <mob>. A spawner that stores items of a material the server does not know also cannot be broken, so ask staff.
Where does a broken spawner go?
Breaking sells the storage for the breaker, gives the stored XP and drops ONE item holding the whole stack. With breaking.drop-to-inventory: true it goes straight into the inventory. A dropped item is invulnerable, never despawns and only the breaker can pick it up.
How does the spawner breaker work?
Give it with /vspawner admin tool <player> <uses> <chance>. Each spawner break with it spends one use, skips the Silk Touch rule and gets the spawners back with the tool's chance: each spawner of a stack rolls on its own, or the whole stack rolls once with breaker-tool.roll-per-spawner: false. At 0 uses the tool is gone. With breaking.require-tool: true, breaking without it still sells the storage and gives the XP, but the spawners are lost.
Can I remove a mob?
Set enabled: false in its mob file. Do not delete a bundled file, because it is reseeded on reload. A spawner whose mob file is missing cannot be opened or broken until the file is back.
Is there a migration from another spawner plugin?
Not built in. The spawner item stores two persistent-data keys under the plugin namespace, snvirtualspawners:mob and snvirtualspawners:amount. They are a stable contract and will never be renamed.
When are changes saved?
Sales, extractions, XP collection and stack purchases are written within a tick. Generation is written in batches every 30 seconds.
